Precision Garage Door was my second phone call and should have been my first! Treyvon, with Precision arrived promptly and presented himself professionally and knowledgeable. He provided repair and service options and also reccomended a service schedule. He was patient, professional, and precise. He even excercised due caution while navigating the repair around our trapped brand new vehicle. I will definitly (if I ever have another garage door repair need) call Precision FIRST and personally request Treyvon F. respond.

My garage door broke a few weeks ago. I called in the morning and had a technician at my house within 2hr or maybe less. The technician looked over the damage and gave me a reasonable quote. I even received a military discount which I really appreciate. I'm sorry that I don't remember the technician name but he was great. Very polite, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use precision again when I upgrade my door motor.

So my garage door came off track because of a malfunctioning garage door opener. I called Precision, and surprisingly they came that day. All that needed to be done was the cable needed to be put back on from the brand new drum at the top of the door, that I had a company install a few months earlier and connected to the bracket at the bottom, which bent a bit but really didn't need to be replaced, however Persision insisted. This is where the steel cable connects to the bottom bracket on the door. I was gonna do the job myself. The problem for me is winding the springs. The springs would have to be unwound to get the cable back on, At least I thought so. You can get hurt if you don't know what you're doing. The door needed to be straightened a bit because of the cable. But was a self correcting issue once the cable was reattached. Two fellas showed up. I Showed them what was going on. They acted like they've never seen a garage door before that broke, which concerned me a bit. In the end I was charged three hundred dollars to put the cable back on and two new brackets at the bottom of the door which are very inexpensive. When it was done, he said your springs are no good also. I said, wind them up some. Over the years i'm sure they've lost some tension.... He refused and said they had enough tension on them, but he would have no way of knowing that since he didn't have to unwind them to begin with. So for $300, he simply put the cable back on and 2 new unnecessary brackets. Moving forward had another company come in, and he simply wound the spring up a little bit, said they were now fine, now the door manually opens and closes easily until I get a new garage door opener. There was no need to not wind the spring a little bit or to replace the clamps. Imagine if the springs actually broke and the door came off along with the cable? What would that have cost me two thousand dollars? Took 30 minutes. They are too expensive and they try to upsell you on everything.

Stay far away from Precision Garage Door Service in Lakeland—especially Luis (manager) and Lluka (technician). This felt like a blatant upsell from the moment they arrived. After a quick look at my garage door, they claimed the only solution was a full replacement—parts, motor, everything—for over $1,700. No real troubleshooting, no attempt at a basic repair, just straight to the most expensive option possible. According to them, there were no alternatives. That didn’t pass the smell test, so I got a second opinion. A small, local company came out and fixed the exact same issue for $100. No major replacements. No nonsense. Just an honest repair. When I called Luis back to question why I was quoted over 17x the actual cost, he doubled down and said other companies “will do anything to get your business.” That response says everything. Instead of acknowledging the possibility of a simpler fix, he dismissed it entirely. From my experience, this looks like a textbook pressure tactic: convince the customer there’s no other option and push a full system replacement. Someone without experience—or an older homeowner—could easily be talked into spending thousands unnecessarily. Call it what you want, but this didn’t feel honest. It felt like an attempt to sell a $1,700 job when a $100 fix would do. Do yourself a favor: get a second opinion before agreeing to anything with these guys

Excellent experience all around - especially compared to other local garage door service companies. I won't say they are the cheapest, but a) they responded quickly and were always on-time, b) they products they offered were of good quality, c) every single person I worked with (estimator, 2 installers, one follow-up) were friendly, skilled, and worked quickly. I had one small issue where the install team forgot to leave one accessory item... when I called the next day they sent one of their team within a few hours to drop off the missed item. No muss, no fuss.

I can not say enough about this company. First time Mike came by. I told him exactly what I needed from the moment. No sales pitch he asked what was the issue and he fixed it. We spoke about the company how they pride themselves of their reputation. That speaks volume to me. Trust me I have some ppl come out and try to sale things I really don’t need for the moment and $3,000 is the estimate. I will recommend this company highly.
