So my garage door came off track because of a malfunctioning garage door opener. I called Precision, and surprisingly they came that day. All that needed to be done was the cable needed to be put back on from the brand new drum at the top of the door, that I had a company install a few months earlier and connected to the bracket at the bottom, which bent a bit but really didn't need to be replaced, however Persision insisted. This is where the steel cable connects to the bottom bracket on the door. I was gonna do the job myself. The problem for me is winding the springs. The springs would have to be unwound to get the cable back on, At least I thought so. You can get hurt if you don't know what you're doing. The door needed to be straightened a bit because of the cable. But was a self correcting issue once the cable was reattached. Two fellas showed up. I Showed them what was going on. They acted like they've never seen a garage door before that broke, which concerned me a bit. In the end I was charged three hundred dollars to put the cable back on and two new brackets at the bottom of the door which are very inexpensive. When it was done, he said your springs are no good also. I said, wind them up some. Over the years i'm sure they've lost some tension.... He refused and said they had enough tension on them, but he would have no way of knowing that since he didn't have to unwind them to begin with. So for $300, he simply put the cable back on and 2 new unnecessary brackets. Moving forward had another company come in, and he simply wound the spring up a little bit, said they were now fine, now the door manually opens and closes easily until I get a new garage door opener. There was no need to not wind the spring a little bit or to replace the clamps. Imagine if the springs actually broke and the door came off along with the cable? What would that have cost me two thousand dollars? Took 30 minutes. They are too expensive and they try to upsell you on everything.

The tech was extremely nice and responsive. However the quote was insulting high almost board line unethical. $16k for modifications starting, then knocked off $9k right out of the gate, still insulting high but that amount of price increase is taking advantage of people that don’t know any better. The amount of money knocked of the price more than double what the scope should have cost. .

Tech was nice and figured out the issue with my door motor pretty quickly. But that’s where the good service ends, sadly. The technician was quick to upsell me over priced goods that aren’t even meant for residential homes, but heavy duty commercial motors. Either I replace my circuit board for the cost of a whole new residential motor or buy a commercial one for an extreme price. There was no in between. This “service” seemed more like a up sale than an actual problem solving and general service visit. Not calling or referring again

Sean did an amazing job, was knowledgeable and professional. He replaced my 2 springs and 3 bearings in what seemed like no time at all. My only issue was the price. I should have done more research beforehand but what I found was surprising given what I was charged. Quick Google search shows the average for spring and labor is between 150-350 and certainly not the 378 per spring I paid. Additionally, the springs themselves couldn't be more than 100 a piece, so I'm wondering where the rest of my money went to. It certainly doesn't seem like I should be paying near $600 for an hour of labor.

$90.00 for 5 minutes of work and pressing a couple of bottoms "Reprogram Fee" (39.95) after charging fleet Transportation ($20.00), Service Call (29.95). Overpriced services after been told that the service call was going to be $49.95 by the dispatcher. She forgot to tell me that touching a bottom was going to cost me an additional $40.00. Compelled to put Garage Door Opener Repair for service performed for no choice to insert the actual service performed "Reprogram Fee".

My spring was broken. The tech was really nice! However, when I called they gave me an estimate of $65 to $118 and she said the tech would be able to tell me what it would be when he got there. So I was expecting to pay no more than $200.00. When the young man told me it would be $565 I was shocked! He said I needed other things to make it last longer. I didn't get them and it still ended up costing me $256.00 I won't use them again.

I needed to have a new door installed and the technician said he only handled repairs and could not install the door the same day, as the install team already had a full schedule. I had to park my brand new car outside till the next day. Wish I could have had same day install.
