Was quoted for over $1,700 for a motor replacement. Dealing with a dying parent, I had the first company I found, come out. Wish I did more research. They we twice as much as other companies. When I asked the installer why so much, he said higher quality products. You can get the motor I got for Lowes for $200. I was robbed.

Chose Precision as you've previously installed a garage opener at my home. Was pleased with the same day appointment. Lewis fairly quickly identified the issue as a bad logic board. Initially he recommended a $2K+ opener (more horsepower than we really need), but we agreed upon a $600 opener (sufficient for the door size & weight). The installation progressed until I noticed Lewis disconnected my door bell & replaced it with the opener wall mount button. The existing wall mount button was less than 12 inches above the door bell. Lewis advised he didn't see the existing opener button. Once he re-connected the door bell, it no longer worked. He called someone & tried several things but nothing recovered door bell functionality for all door bells. I even reset the breaker. Lewis advised he reported the issue to his manager. Later that evening I realized not only were the doorbells not functioning, but neither was the garage light (completely separate from the garage door light, installed in the garage ceiling). The door bell and light switches switches are installed back-to-back on the same wall, one indoors in the kitchen and one outdoors in the garage, with less than 3 inches between them. Now I need to identify & pay for a resource to resolve all door bells & the garage light.

On may 23rd I had a new door installed. I was told the door would match the other door as I have 2 doors. The doors do not match . ???? I am at a loss at this time. R Rogers

The garage door can open with remote but can’t close with the remote and someone has to press the key on the wall to close so I called precision garage door becoz there is a sticker on the garage door . This is our first time using this company . The technician told us he has to change the wire and change new set of sensor . I only give 1 star because I found out that the genie sensor set was charged for $242, on Amazon is only $40. I’m sure the price is set by the company , not by technician . I could still accept if the genie sensor is charged $20-$30 more but not 5 times than regular price . I feel like the company take advantage of the customer who doesn’t have knowledge . I totally understand for professional fees is $289 for changing the sensor and wire . The technician Chris is very kind and nice .

I chose Precision because of your quick response. Your technician was courteous and worked quickly to fix my door. However, your prices are very very excessively high. Your technician did his best to sell me as many repairs whether really needed or not to raise the total bill. In the end, he gave me a discount for previous visits and also gave me a couple of rollers. I refused to buy your 10-pack of rollers for $410.00 because I found I can buy the same 10-pack for $25 on Amazon. I'll never use Precision again.

I am shocked at how much this cost - now that I got an earful from my son and I did my own research and called other companies. I was completely taken advantage of since I didn't know what this would normally cost. So ridiculously upset with myself that I assumed this company would treat me fair and not just someone to take advantage of. I would call around and NOT use this company.

Been a customer for 4+ years. Called them out because spring broke. They came out and recommended springs to be replaced and bearings. They did the exact same thing 4 years ago for 640.00. Well this time quoted 1400.00. I paid them 53.00 service fee and Called someone else (Felix with Garage Home Pros 3212000727). I showed him the estimate. He replaced everything with same parts that Precision quoted for 480.00. I will never call/use Precision again. I own 4 businesses and understand different prices with different companies, however over 900.00 difference is insane.

On the website It said $0 service fee after the tech got that he tells me it's $100. I should have been told that before he arrived when I made the appt.

The tech that came out was knowledgeable and polite but I was very specific about what I needed and that we weren't replacing an opener but installing the first one. I was told over the phone the price installed and I could use the coupon I had. Upon arrival, the tech said he would install what I was told over the phone (1/2hp opener) but It wouldn't last the year and the second car remote was an extra $48 and the bracing was another $5 and there was a trip charge of $20. I was never told there would be a trip charge and it makes no sense since he was coming to do a estimate. There isn't any charge if I say no...why should there be one if I say yes! So I did. The excuse was the people on the phone don't know a lot and you really are a repair company. Then they should. Felt like it was a bait and switch. If not your phone staff need to be better trained.

James was very personable and knew what he was doing! I do have a concern about the final invoice. The difference between the 3 repair options increased by $200.00 with the final invoice! I give James the highest praise for his work, but the difference in final cost will bring down my overall rating!

My previous experiences with precision have been great which is why I contacted them this time. However the technician that came out wasn't prepared or knowledgeable to complete the repair. when I talked to your operator when I called she told me for the cheap 1year springs installed was $120 each,,all fees and taxes were included... guess what she was wrong.. .also the service teck talked me into new cable drums for $50 each,,,wow,,talk about price gouging ...$5.00 drum for $50.00... then you charged me >> Shop Supplies 7% $22.75 38449 Fuel / Energy Surcharge $20.00 Job was done and fast,This is the only plus,, springs were smaller then originals and drums were also cheaper made... No I am not happy...Price gouging and additional charges

I was happy with the outcome of my door it works better than new. The only problem I had was the appointment was 6-8 in the evening and he did not finish the job until around 9 pm. I wish he could have finished early as I work mornings.
